PullLight doesn't index the whole codebase like Greptile does. It reviews the diff only — which means faster setup and no index wait, but less cross-file context. For most teams, that's enough. For large tightly-coupled monorepos where bugs live across three files and only Greptile's indexed context catches them, Greptile's analysis is genuinely deeper. That's the honest tradeoff.
Yes — but it's opt-in. By default PullLight focuses on Security and Bugs. Enable Style or Formatting in Review Focus settings if you want that too. You can tune it to your team's standards without the noise.
PullLight reviews the diff in each PR regardless of repo structure. Monorepos work out of the box — the analysis is diff-scoped, not repo-wide, so it's fast and doesn't require any special configuration. You install PullLight on the repo and it just works.
PullLight sends the PR diff (not your full codebase) to Claude via Anthropic's API. Diffs are used only for the analysis and are not retained for training. If you have strict data-residency requirements, check out the Trust & Security page. A self-hosted option is on the roadmap.
